How it works

So, you opened your first card maybe even second card and got the bonus points, now what?

You want to keep opening new cards and banking sign up bonuses as much as possible. If it has been at least 30 days since your last new card and you have already hit the sign up bonus you want to be thinking about your next card.

Two Player Mode or Multi-Player Mode

For your first of each card family, please use my links. After that if you have a player 2 (P2) in your house, another adult, a spouse, adult child, parent, BFF... you can refer back and forth to each other mirroring each others moves and getting 2x the points as a single player and banking each other's referral bonuses.

Earn and burn

Once you open your first card from any points ecosystem take the time to open loyalty accounts with each of their transfer partners. This is important because some partners will only allow transfers to loyalty accounts that are not brand new. I have only transferred Chase Ultimate Reward (UR) points to Hyatt, Southwest and Jet Blue. But, I made frequent flier accounts for all 6 of us with each airline and at each hotel for Ryan and I.

I went ahead and made these all clickable links to the make new account page for you. I don't get paid, I'm just trying to help you out. :)

You can transfer Ultimate Rewards points to 11 airline programs:

  • Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards
  • Aer Lingus AerClub
  • Air Canada Aeroplan
  • Air France-KLM Flying Blue
  • British Airways Executive Club
  • Emirates Skywards
  • Iberia Plus
  • JetBlue TrueBlue
  • Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
  • United Airlines MileagePlus
  • Virgin Atlantic Flying Club

Chase also partners with three hotel programs:

  • IHG One Rewards
  • Marriott Bonvoy
  • World of Hyatt

Spreadsheet download

Keeping all your logins and information in one place is super important and has been a lifesaver (ok that's a little dramatic) but I have pulled it up on my phone in the middle of many phone calls to help me remember dates and logins. It is the same spreadsheet from before, it really is so important to keep track of eeeeverrrrthing....
